You’re Killing Me, Smalls: A Live Reading of The Sandlot
Ghostlight Ensemble presents the next installment of its ongoing live movie reading series: You're Killing Me, Smalls: A Live Reading of The Sandlot.
Join us at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, at My Buddy's (4416 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60640) for all the scrappy kids baseball that we can play in the backroom of a bar. (Please Note: Children are welcome to attend as long as they're accompanied by an adult!)
The Sandlot is a 1993 American coming-of-age baseball film set during the summer of 1962 that follows Scotty Smalls, the new kid in town who is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his rowdy team, resulting in many adventures.
We're celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this piece of Americana film history along with the Fourth of July, summer, baseball and friendship.
The cast is:
Tyshaun Lang as Benny the Jet
Dennis Davies as Dad, others
Gwynn Fulcher as Mom, Tommy Timmons, others
Jason Jackson as Squints
Chad Wise as Hercules, Babe Ruth
