Spooky Sunday at Chicago History Museum
Join Ghostlight Ensemble for our latest museum collaboration as we bring our live movie reading expertise to the Chicago History Museum, as part of their Halloween programming in October.
The museum celebrates the Spooky Season with a screening of the Chicago-based horror film Child’s Play (1988, dir. Tom Holland) on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Following the film, Ghostlight will host a spooky-themed trivia game about other horror movies set in Chicago. And in between each round, actors will perform live reenactments of scenes from these movies on stage. Prizes will be awarded to trivia winners.
Child’s Play is rated R for violence, strong language, and frightening and intense scenes. Visitors must be 17 years of age or older or accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least age 25. Seating will be first come, first served.
The fun begins at 2 p.m.
This event is included with general admission to the museum. Tickets are available on the Chicago History Museum website.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 13, access to streets around CHM and the Stockton parking lot will be significantly limited from 7 a.m. until noon. Please visit the marathon’s website for details. If you are arriving from DuSable Lake Shore Dr., the LaSalle Dr. exit may be closed. You will need to exit at Oak St. and head north on the inner drive.
